今日クリスマスです。アメリカにクリスマスは一番重要な宗教の記念日です。その目的はイエス・キリストの誕生を尊ぶことです。
沢山の伝統もあります。サンタクロースやクリスマスツリーやプレゼントするのは一番有名です。
神さまに信じる人も信じない人も言い換えるとみなには親切の時です。寛大する時です。

Today is Christmas Day. In America, it is the most important religious day. Its purpose is to remember Jesus Christ’s birth.
There are also many other traditions. Santa Claus, Christmas trees, giving presents are the most famous.
To everybody — those who believe in God and those who don’t — this is a time of kindness; a time of generosity.

家に二匹の猫がいます。クリスマスので、息子は猫のプレゼント買いに行きたかったです。そして今日彼と私はペットショップに行きました。おもちゃなどを選びました。
ペットショップに行く時は息子はハムスターやねずみやを見たい。彼は真面目になるから、私は二匹のスナネズミを買いました。ペットとして飼われるスナネズミは易しくて奇麗で臭くないんです。
薄い茶色のスナネズミの名前は「レイジ」です。ねずみ色のは「ジェーリス」です。二匹は若くてかわいいですね。
籠は本棚で置きましたが、今二匹の猫はスナネズミを見ながら立ちます。怠け猫はテレビがあります！
When we go to the pet store, my son likes to look at the hamsters, mice, etc. Because he’s becoming more responsible I bought two gerbils. Taking care of gerbils is easy, clean, and not stinky.
The light brown gerbil’s name is “Raezy” (ray-zee). The grey one’s name is “Jerris”. The two are young and cute.
I put the cage on the book shelf, but now the two cats are standing there looking at the gerbils. It’s a lazy cats’ TV!

こちらは全然日本の物が見ません。今日私は高速道路で南へ運転していました。驚きことを見ました。大きいトラックがありました。ドアで漢字にかなに日本の会社の名前を見付けました。
早くiPhoneで写真は１つを撮りました。（写真を撮りながら運転するは危ないです。しないで下さい。）写真に「米国ヤマト運輸」を見て下さい。子猫と猫があります。猫は子猫を持っています。
こちらは全然日本の物が見ません。今日は幸運の日です。
We don’t see Japanese things around here. Today I was driving south on the Interstate. I saw something surprising. There was a large truck. I saw the name of a Japanese company on the door in kanji and kana.
I quickly took one picture with my iPhone. (Taking a picture while driving is dangerous. Please don’t!) You can see “米国ヤマト運輸” (USA Yamato Transportation) in the picture. There are a cat and a kitten. The cat is carrying the kitten.
We don’t see Japanese things around here. Today was a lucky day.

休みので、すみません。
妻と私は本を作りますから、ブログを書く時がありません。来週に終りたい。
My wife and I are making a book, so there has not been enough time for writing on the blog. We hope to finish next week.
私の自転車は珍しいです。三輪車です、でも子供の三輪車ではありません。「レカンベントトライク」です。脚を伸ばして、座席にゆったりともたれかかることならば「レカンベント」と言う。三輪車は「トライク」と言います。
レカンベントの自転車はたくさんいいところがあります。 私が一番好きな点は、とても楽しいところです！実用的にも安全やあまり脚を痛めません。
この写真には友達が写っています。ゆったして見えますよね。
Recumbent cycles have many benefits. My favourite benefit is that it’s really fun! For the practical benefits, there is safety, and it doesn’t stress the legs much.

レカンベントの二輪車もあります。ある人は日本からイギリスまで（１万2千キロメートル）レカンベント自転車で走りました。すごかったですよね！（サイトは日本語と英語があります。）

私たちの州はたくさんの荒野があります。ユタ州に２４の国立公園があります。私たちはバケーションで小さな町へ行きました。それはモーアブです。その町はアウトドアズで人気があります。
今日、アーチーズ国立公園に行きました。景色は奇麗です。少しずつ風と雨が岩を彫っています。この珍しい現象をアーチと呼びます。
違う景色があります。これは「フードゥー（ｈｏｏｄｏｏ）」です。これは「釣り合いの岩」と呼びます。
その内の一つは「悪魔の庭」です。色々景色があります。８つアーチがあります。なぜ名前は「悪魔の庭」です、私は知りません。乾いたです、でも奇麗です。本当に神はある所を作りました。
この写真は「悪魔の庭」の入り口です。
小さいアーチを見ました。３０メートルほどは高いです。名前は「壁アーチ」です。
帰る時はカメラマンを見ました。写真を撮るから、彼は６０メートルほど岩の上に上りました。

こちらは高い山に囲まれた。砂漠気候です。夏期にはたびたび摂氏４０度ぐらいになります。朝と晩は賑やかな時期です。その間は雨が全然降りません。
９月からは良い天気です。外で遊んで、川遊んで、ピクニックをします。
今朝、意外な事が起きました。先週の土曜日から雨が降っていました。山には初雪が降りました。でも夜までにたくさん溶けていました。
時々寒い嵐が起きます。来て、通り過ぎます。雪が全然降りません。
冬期は雪の時期です。
This place is a high mountain desert. During the summer time, we frequently have very hot weather of over 100°F. People are usually out during the mornings and evenings. Rain rarely falls.
Starting in September the weather becomes nice. We play outside, in the water, and have picnics.
This morning, an unexpected thing happened. It has been raining since Saturday, and today the first snow fell in the mountains. A lot melted by the afternoon.
Sometimes we’ll get cold storms. They come, they go. Rarely do they bring snow.
Winter is snow time.

アメリカに古い伝統があります。人々は古い車を拾って、直して、奇麗にペンキを塗ります。車の展示会はすごく賑やかです。車の展示会は色々な所で一年中あります。夏は頻繁に展示会があるので良い時期です。

「飛び立ちませんか？魔法の椅子があります。静かな空へ行きましょう。座って風が私達を連れています。」
ある近い山でフライトパークを見付けました。あそこでパラグライダ飛行は人気が あります。
ある男の人と奥さんはサンフランシスコから来ました。彼の誕生日でした。「パラグライダ飛行が大好きですよ！ここはいい場所です。風がどくどく吹きます。」と言いました。
“Shall we fly? I have a magic chair. Let’s go to the sky in silence. Sit down and the wind will take us away.”
At a nearby mountain I found a “flight park.” It’s a popular place for paragliding.
A man and his wife came from San Francisco. It was his birthday. “We love paragliding!” he said. “This is a good place. The wind blows steadily.”
