美味しくない水

猫は人間に言葉を言うことが出来ません。時々たいへんです。

家に２匹の猫がいます。この町の水が好きないんですから、両方が新規な水を貰う時の後で餌は水に入れます。それは猫が人間に言った方法です。「おまえ！美味しい水を貰いなさい！」と言います。（猫の心には猫が神いるんですよ。）

浄水器を買わなければなりませんね。

Cats cannot speak words to people. Sometimes it’s not good.

We have two cats. They do not like this city’s water. So when we give them fresh water, they both will put food into the water! This is the cat way of talking to humans. “Hey shmuck! Give me some good water!” they say. (Cats are gods in their own eyes!)

I aught to get a water filter.

黒い鍋

夏初めてから、家族は鉄鍋で料理しました。その料理は伝統的な技術です。楽しいです。英語で、「black pot（黒い鍋）」と「cast iron pan（鋳鉄の鍋）」と言います。

あるタイプは「ダッチオーベン」と言います。足とツバがあります。外の料理にダッチオーベンがとても便利です。下で足があります。上でツバがあります。足から空気は鍋の下に行くこと出来ます。ツバから炭は食べ物に行くことが出来ません。

昨日の朝、ダッチオーベン同好会の会議に行きました。あさごはんを作りました。妻も私も作りました。ほかの人は奇麗に公園をしました。

この写真に見てください。パンを作りました。初めて、炭火は鍋の下でも鍋の上でもがあります。２／３の時間の後で、鍋の上にすべての炭火を動かします。それでは焦げるパンになりません。

鉄手鍋に「やさいやき」があります。火は鍋の下にだけです。

やさせいます！３月から３２キロ。先週の土曜日に１０８キロメートル自転車に乗りました。ビデオを作りました。

英語です、でも日本語を書きました。すみません。日本語が下手です。

危ない！

今朝、自転車で走っていました。サイクリングロードの上に若いがらがら蛇（ｒａｔｔｌｅｓｎａｋｅ）がいました。毒蛇ですから、危ないです。時々山から町に来ます。

「何でしても良かったですか」と言いました。石を投げて怖がらせて追いやりました。蛇を痛めませんでした。少しい怖かったです！

こちら、がらがら蛇はあまり人間を噛みません。でも蛇の噛みつきはとても危ないです。５年前に噛む男の人はこ亡くなりました。蛇は庭の家がいました。

This morning I was riding my bike. On the bike trail there was a young rattlesnake. Because it’s a poisonous snake, it’s dangerous. Sometimes they come into town from the mountains.

“What should I do?” I said. I threw rocks at the snake to frighten it way until it left. I didn’t hurt it. It was a little scary!

Here rattlesnakes rarely bite people. However snakebites are dangerous. A man was bitten and died five years ago. The snake was in his yard.

「鳥気」

やっと、春は来ました。山である雪がゆっくり溶けます。谷間でいい天気です。良かった！

遅い春ですから、まだ山の鳥は町でいます。しかしそろそろ山へ出ます。外、後ろの家で、「鳥の庭」があります。３つの野鳥の給餌箱も泉もありますから、家に鳥が来ます。「人気」になりません。庭は「鳥気」ですね。

（すみません、「birdbath」と言うを分かりません。「泉」を書きました。）

Finally spring is here. The snow in the mountains is slowly melting. In the valleys it’s nice weather. It’s great!

Because spring is late, there are still mountain birds in the town. However, now they’re leaving for the mountains. Outside, behind our house there is a “bird garden”. Birds come to our house because there are three bird feeders and a birdbath. It’s popular with birds.

(Note for English speakers: I have a play on words here in Japanese. The word for “popular” (人気) contains the character for “person” (人), so I replaced it with “bird” (鳥) to be silly — “鳥気”.)

この「忌中の鳩」（mourning dove）は最悪です。ほかの鳩を追い払っていました。すべての餌を食べたかったです。
This mourning dove was terrible. It drove away the other doves. It wanted to eat all the food.

去年、山で花火を見ました

２００８年４月１１日：動物子の緑

あるところに、農場があります。歴史的な農場です。昔の技術で仕事をしています。馬で耕します。炉で金属製品を作ります。となりは小さい村です。その村も歴史的な村です。

毎春、動物が生まれますから三日間、祭りがあります。家族で農場に旅行します。そのあと、いいレストランがあるので、妻と私が結婚した町に行きます。それから友達を訪問します。夜、帰ります。とても楽しいい日でしたよ。

英語：
There is a farm. It is a historical farm. They use old methods to do work. They use horses to cultivate. They use a forge to make metal things. Next to it is a small village. It, too, is a historical village.

Every spring the animals give birth, so there is a three day festival. Our family travels to the farm. Afterwards we go to the town where my wife and I were married because there is a good place to eat. Then we’ll visit friends. We return in the evening. It’s a fun day.
